Fantasma Floor Lamp, Tobia Scarpa for Flos, c1961

The Fantasma lamp, created by Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1961, is a landmark in Italian lighting design. Standing at 186cm, this floor lamp has a steel frame enveloped in cocoon resin, which gives it a ghostly, ethereal look - true to its name, “Fantasma.”

Over time, the resin develops a unique veined texture, adding character to its soft, ambient glow.

Condition: Both lamps are in very good original condition. The shades shows signs of age, including colour variations and minor imperfections at the points where the shades are stretched over the internal frames, which is to be expected (and preferred) for these lamps. The base on one lamp is showing some signs of rust & age, which we can leave as-is (as some prefer this) or restore prior to delivery or collection.
