Fantasma floor lamp, Tobia Scarpa for Flos, c1961

The Fantasma lamp, created by Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1961, is a landmark in Italian lighting design. Standing at 186cm, this floor lamp has a steel frame enveloped in cocoon resin, which gives it a ghostly, ethereal look - true to its name, “Fantasma.”

Over time, the resin develops a unique veined texture, adding character to its soft, ambient glow.

Condition: Good original condition. The shade shows signs of age, including colour variations, which is to be expected (and preferred) for these lamps. There is one very minor tear where the shade connects to the internal frame (approx. 4mm across, only visible on close inspection, and does not impact sturdiness). Nice brass patina
